Client Gifts that Require No Help from Santa

Client Gifts that Require No Help from Santa

During this holiday season, many of us have emerged from our homes and are living a semi-normal life with our close family and friends. But this may not mean that we are back in the office or meeting with clients in-person. Despite not seeing clients, or cohorts, in person, you still want to show them gratitude during the holiday. Usually, we would send baskets of candy or fruit to their offices, maybe even take them out to an event, but with many people still working remotely some of this a bit difficult to plan. That’s why we made this list of gifts that you can give virtually, no help from Santa necessary.

Send Virtual Gift Card

Cash is king- so when in doubt a gift card is the best way to go. If you know their favorite hobby or pastime, you can give them something that goes towards that. For instance, if your client loves fishing or camping get them a gift card to Cabela’s or Bass Pro Shop. But if you’re going to go this route, we suggest putting enough money on the card so they could actually purchase something (a.k.a. no $10 gift cards).

Donate in their Name

This is the gift that keeps giving, not only can you show someone you’re thinking about them, but you can do it by contributing to a great cause. If your client loves animals, donate to a local shelter in their name or if you know they do a 5k for cancer every year, donate to the American Cancer Society. You can’t go wrong with a gift like this!

Personalized Videos from their Favorite Celebrity

Know someone obsessed with The Office? Or someone who watches sports like it’s a religion? Why not get them the amazing gift of a personalized video. You can get Aaron Jones from the Green Bay Packers or Alice Cooper to record a special holiday greeting for your clients or staff this year. This is a unique idea that may cost a little more than our other suggestions but your client will always remember it.

Send a Virtual Christmas Card

This is a low-cost option for those of you who might have too many people on your shopping list to count. Use a design software like Canva or hire a graphic designer to create a unique holiday card that makes everyone feel special this time of year. Think of all the trees you’ll save with this virtual option!

Send a Physical Gift

Go the traditional route and send that physical gift! If you know someone is back in the office, or if you happen to have their address, go ahead, send them that fruit basket or those steaks. There is a reason these gifts are sent out every year and it’s because they are fan favorites.

Whether you send everyone a personalized gift or just a holiday card, the point is that you told them you were thinking about them. We know from personal experience that creating and maintaining that relationship with your clients is important, so we suggest that you go the extra mile this year and give them something they will remember.
